The Zimbabwean NAMA awards

The 18th National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) were held in Harare at the International Conference Centre during the past weekend. The ceremony's theme was "African Royalty". The Zimbabwean artists rocked their African prints. A trio all the way from Bulawayo dazzled the crowd with their animal prints representing the Ndebele culture. Albert Nyathi, Sandra Ndebele and Babongile Sikhonjwa have been setting social media on fire with their outfit leaving fans with FOMO. Babongiwe Sikhonjwa, a Bulawayo radio personality and stand up comedian scooped the Outstanding Radio Journalist award. He is also known for advocating for the inclusion of Bulawayo based artists in the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Cooperation stable.
