The National University of Science and technology academic members of staff have called off their strike and are resuming teaching today evening. This comes after students on parallel and block release protested all day today demanding lecturers to resume teaching after 3 weeks of no lectures. More than 10 students were arrested and they are being charged with public violence. The Human rights lawyer Jabula Mhlanga is defending the students arguing that the charge has no legal basis. The lecturers have been promised their back pay with effect from today.
